CEREAL DOCKS FOOD IS A MEMBER OF AITA – ITALIAN FOOD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION

Cereal Docks Food is now a member of AITA, the Italian Food Technology Association.

This non-profit, apolitical, technical-scientific association was born in 1979 and is associated with the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), the Institute of Food Techology (IFT) and the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EEFOST).

AITA is based in Milan and includes other branch offices in Verona, Parma, Catania and Oristano. It periodically organizes courses, conferences, seminars and workshops and has the journal “Industrie Alimentari” as its official body, published in 11 issues per year by Chiriotti Editori.

The affirmation of the professional ethics of food business operators is one of the association’s main purposes. AITA promotes the diffusion of knowledge and progress in food technology with the aim of improvement and enhancement of production through continuous training and the organization of congresses, conferences, refresher courses and other initiatives.

Thanks to AITA, relations between members are incentivized and contacts with other associations in the agro-food and nutrition sector are encouraged. From this union, study groups are created for the deepening of knowledge on the development of the agro-food sector in Italy: the data collected and processed are intended to contribute to the correct information of the institutions and consumers on the main issues of the food sector. Furthermore, AITA collaborates in the definition and updating of the regulations governing the production and distribution of food products.
